Fire Works Ceramics: Grandma Just Loves Your Artwork
“Everyone follow me now. We’re all going to Fire Works Ceramics and we’re going to make a present for Grandma.” This place is the perfect way for the family to spend an afternoon and the owners just love children. Why not have each family member make their own dinner plate or mug and then you’ll own an entire (very unique) set? All of the ceramic items have already been fired once, you just paint pretty designs on them and then they will be dipped in clear glaze and fired a second time. Or paint the palm of your hand a fun color and make a hand print in the middle of a salad plate! It’s common knowledge that Grandmas just love little hand prints.
And the perfect family restaurant for dinner is Amici’s on Castro Street just blocks away. Amici’s loves kids and kids love their special Kids Menu.
You’ll return to Fire Works next week to pick up your freshly fired ceramics. You might want to swing by Amici’s one more time as well. This whole ceramics-n-pizza thing is going to be very addictive!

I bookmarked this link. Thank you for a good job!
Jo, it really is my work! Everyone in the office went there a few times and those are the pieces that I painted. I love them.
Way cool! Is that your work pictured? Hehe…
I had no idea this place existed. What fun right in our own backyard. Your Chamber does really fun stuff!!!! So, how can I get such a fun job?
Hi Pat, Actually everyone from the Chamber went there one time and had Mexican food and Margaritas delivered and we painted ceramics and had a big feast! It was so much fun. Although I noticed that not everyone can paint very well after they drink a few margaritas!
What fun. Why let just kids play. Sounds like it could be a fun girls’ night out.
