Milk Pail Market

milk pailSo you might not be the greatest cook, but you want to impress. We have a few clever ideas. Everyone in our community already knows about the Milk Pail on California Street and their incredible selection of fruits, vegetables and dairy items, but have you taken the time to check out the frozen food section at Milk Pail? We baked some of their frozen croissants this week and they were out-of-this world! You have to let them rise first, then bake them about 20 minutes you’ll have an authentic Parisian treat! They’re actually made by a Frenchman (it’s true, he’s really French) and all you have to do is bake them. And if you want to pretend that you made them yourself, it’s just fine with us.

And to go with your fresh, warm croissants, be sure to grab some Danish butter and a jar of Mountain Fruit preserves. This cute little jar is absolutely like the homemade jam that your Grandmother used to make, but you never really learned how and now you wish you had.

And in the same freezer section at Milk Pail is another item that you might also pretend that you made yourself.  Jose’s Empanadas. It’s safe to say that there’s already a cult following for this product and it’s been going strong for many years, but you could just as easily swear that you made them yourself—especially if your guests don’t live in Mountain View, they probably don’t know about this outrageous doughy bundle of chicken, cheese and goodness. milk pail applesThere’s no reason to ever tell the truth—just leave a few dirty dishes in the sink so it looks like you’ve been baking all afternoon and play a little salsa music to set the mood. Congratulations, we think you’ve pulled it off…  And be sure to grab some apples and leafy greens because they’re super good for you and we care about your health.
