This world-famous Muay Thai organization has a new Mountain View facility that instills techniques from basic conditioning and strength training all the way up to ring strategies and contact sparring. You’ll get great abs, if that’s your goal—or you may be eligible for the next competition against “The Croatian Sensation” if you put in some serious time! And Planet Martial Arts is a non-profit organization for kids of all ages. The instructor, Master Foreman, uses Tae Kwon Do to teach the importance of good physical health. The kids all have a great time, but one word of advice: don’t tell him that you’re tired, unless you want to get down and give him 20!
I’m so sorry to have to make this next post, but I was just notified that Master Foreman at Planet Martial Arts has passed away. He died after I did the interview for this story and he was such an energetic and charming individual. I was honored to meet him and hear about his background in martial arts. His school has been closed and our community will greatly miss him. Our thoughts are with his family and the hundreds of children that he taught over the years.
Thanks for the post. This was useful for me. After reading this write up and on yelp.com I checked Fairtex out. I was looking for an adult class, which they offer. The place is full of energy when I took their introductory class. I was afraid at first thinking the place would be all hardcore fight club with fighters but when I arrived, there were about 10 other females training there so kinda made the place less intimidating. The place is a family environment with lots of young professionals. I just went back to sign up as a member this week.
