He died after I did the interview for this story and he was such an energetic and charming individual. I was honored to meet him and hear about his background in martial arts. His school has been closed and our community will greatly miss him. Our thoughts are with his family and the hundreds of children that he taught over the years. This was useful for me. After reading this write up and on yelp.com I checked Fairtex out. I was looking for an adult class, which they offer. The place is full of energy when I took their introductory class. I was afraid at first thinking the place would be all hardcore fight club with fighters but when I arrived, there were about 10 other females training there so kinda made the place less intimidating. The place is a family environment with lots of young professionals. I just went back to sign up as a member this week. Thanks for the post. This was useful for me.
