Pearl Tea Trifecta

Thursday, 12 Aug 2010

pearl-tea-bYou might be a beginner when it comes to Pearl Milk Tea (it’s also called Bubble or Boba Tea) so we’re here to get you off on the right track. Downtown Mountain View has three pearl tea places to choose from and we think you should try all three. Okay, maybe not all on the same day, but they are all buzzing with activity and the people-watching is great at each of them.

v     Tea Era on Castro is famous for their Roasted Barley Milk Tea. The place is tiny (as are all of them) and the owners are really friendly.

v     Verde Tea Espresso Bar on Villa has great Mango Milk Tea. And their tea eggs are a must. Verde Tea was the first pearl tea store to open in Mountain View.

v     Tapioca Express, also on Villa, has a mind boggling menu. You should look at the menu online so you can tell them what you want without holding up the line, but more importantly, you should get the Popcorn Chicken, pearl-tea-dtrust us. Be sure to leave a comment below and tell us what you ordered and where you went for your delicious cup of Pearl Milk Tea.

  1. Huge fan of almond milk tea at Tap X. I especially love the hot version on a cold winter day. Mmmm….
