A Barbequed Romantic Comedy

Wednesday, 20 May 2009

bbq_ribsMaybe that’s not what we meant; it’s actually going to be a barbeque first, then a romantic comedy. You two are going to Uncle Frank’s BBQ on Old Middlefield Way for some Louisiana style smoked barbeque. To enter the restaurant, walk through a friendly neighborhood bar, Francesca’s. This little bar has been serving Mountain View residents for 45 years and the two establishments are under one roof. You can bring your ribs into the bar or bring drinks into the restaurant. But don’t expect to see a cocktail waitress; you’ll have to get up off your butt and order your own drinks. After a romantic evening of licking barbeque sauce off each other’s fingers, you’ll head over to Century Cinemas 16 for a date movie. Oh, you know what we mean—it’s the “you-had-me-at-hello” kind of movie that makes you feel all mushy and warm inside. Take your time and pick the perfect movie, after all, there are 16 to choose from. Now doesn’t that sound romantic—you two love birds really need to focus on each other more often…
