Artisan Wine Depot

I went to a wine tasting at Artisan Wine Depot last Friday. It featured 2007 Napa Cabernets and Zinfandels. I was with two friends and we tried about 10 or 12 different wines. We visited with some of the other customers and exchanged opinions about what we tasted. It’s a cozy and casual environment and everyone wanders around the store while enjoying their samples. They also offered light appetizers to go along with the wine selection.

I purchased a bottle of “Big Guy” and as I was paying for my wine, I noticed some small packages of handmade bacon caramel candy near the cash register. I would have taken a photo of it to include in this little story, but it was gone by the time I sat down to write about it. Trust me, it was wonderful.

Artisan Wine Depot has 6 upcoming tastings listed on their website and their website is very up-to-date. Check online or call them if you’re interested in attending one of these friendly tastings. It seems like a good way to find a new favorite wine and also a nice way to get to meet your neighbors. I just love Mountain View.
