Bushido for Japan Relief

Thursday, 24 Mar 2011

Bushido Restaurant on Castro Street will be donating 25% of their gross sales towards relief efforts in Japan on Sunday, April 3, 2011. This event is from 4:30 until 9 pm. All we need to do is show up and order dinner—no special anything to tell your server, just order food. And drinks! This place has an incredible drink menu, including a fabulous selection of Sake and some outstanding specialty cocktails.

The organization that they will be making the donation to is Global Giving. Check out their website to see all the work that they have done around the world. They’ve been around since 2002 and have received 41 million dollars in donations. They are the first organization that I think of donating to when a disaster happens because I feel confident that the money will be put to good use. Thanks Bushido for hosting this event and allowing the community to get involved. Bushido is at 156 Castro Street, downtown Mountain View.

I went to Busiho for dinner last night and mentioned that I read about them on this blog. It was the first time I have eaten there and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the great suggestion and I think my meal tasted even better knowing the money was going towards a good cause!

    I Love MV rocks!

What a great idea! Maybe we will have dinner there before John’s Mo-Chi Quartet – Tribute to Stanley Turrentine – jazz concert at the Dana Street Coffee Roasting CO. that night. The concert starts at 7pm, so we will have time. Maybe see you there!

Mountain View businesses are always so globally minded and generous – I’ll definitely be at this event and will even order some extra dessert since it’s for a good cause! :o)
