California Billiard Club on New Year’s Eve
When was the last time you played pool with a group of friends? California Billiard Club and Hotel Avante have partnered to offer the best New Years Eve event in Mountain View. The celebration will start at 10 pm at California Billiard Club, 881 E. El Camino Real, right next to the Ethan Allen store. California Billiard Club is huge and they have a full bar and a full kitchen that will be open all night. For New Years Eve they’ll have a live band, free pool, free appetizers, and drink specials every 30 minutes. Meet the new owner, Chris, and see how great the place looks. The partying continues until 2 am and all ages are welcome. It’s true; the entire family can come to California Billiard Club!
I was there for an event a few weeks ago and the owner was showing me around. The tables are spread out much more spaciously than they are at most billiard clubs. There are plenty of tables and bar stools near the pool tables so you always have a comfortable place to watch the action even if you’re not playing. The night I was there I noticed 2 different events happening, in addition to all the regulars who were playing pool. This place is big enough to accommodate all kinds of different groups at one time. And, as odd as it may sound, I was intrigued by the carpet tiles on the floor. The owner told me that he installed the tiles himself and had a semi of the special carpeting trucked to California from Georgia. I was amazed at his dedication to his business. So when you go, be sure to look down at the floor every once in a while. They also have a video game room and big screen TVs mounted to the walls around the entire club.
