Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies
I did some very unofficial cookie-research this week. I was recently told that Specialty’s had the most amazing cookies in the area so I decided that I needed to confirm this information. I would never just write about something that was unsubstantiated, so I went on an under-cover-cookie-shopping-expedition.
I’ve tried almost all of the different cookies that Specialty’s makes and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk cookies are definitely my favorite. It’s always more fun to get an assortment of cookies and cut them up so everyone gets to try them all, and that’s what I did when I went to try them this week. Everyone voted and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunks were a crowd favorite. Okay, it was just Jennifer and I, and not an entire crowd, but we both liked them the best and that says something!
I went to Specialty’s a while back with a girlfriend and we were the only women in the entire restaurant. It was mid-afternoon and we sat outside on the patio. I’m just mentioning this because people often ask me where to go to meet eligible singles in Mountain View and I always say that one of the best ways to meet some in this area is when you’re out at lunch. You can be pretty sure that someone is employed if they’re out for lunch during the week, otherwise they would be at home making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. So I recommend Specialty’s for their outstanding cookies and for their fine selection of men on a work day afternoon. I love Mountain View.

Right???? Specialty’s is awesome. The cookies are to die for (wheat germ chocolate chip is my favorite), but the sandwiches are not bad at all either.
