The 39th annual Art & Wine Festival!
This coming weekend is the 39th Mountain View Art & Wine Festival. There are lots of new and exciting changes taking place this year. I spoke with Dave Stevens, Programs and Events Manager at the Chamber of Commerce Mountain View and he filled me in on some of the newest additions to the festival.
As always, you can ride your bike and park it for free in the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition parking lot. There will be about 600 artists, live music on stage and plenty of wine, beer, sangrias and mojitos. You can also purchase Pepsi, diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist or water from any of the three Leadership Mountain View booths. There will be an X-Box given away each day to the person who scores the highest while playing Guitar Hero or Rock Band on the stage in Kids Park. Anyone is welcome to give it a shot, not just kids! This year will be the first time ever that the festival will be composting. That’s right, all of the food containers from all of the food vendors will be composted and not thrown in the trash. That’s just so cool… The weather forecast is totally perfect and all of your neighbors will be expecting to see you there. We just love Mountain View!
It’s Sept 10 & 11, 2011. This year will be the 40th festival.
