Sometimes this website features interesting people. If you’ve spent anytime at all on the El Camino lately, you may have noticed some incredibly talented sign-holders. There are currently two sign-spinners in Mountain View and they work for AArrow Ads.  Their arrow shaped ads are both for State Farm. One of them is usually in front of Whole Foods and the other is at the intersection of El Camino and Grant Road. The one in the video is David. I was fascinated by his talent and it wasn’t until I pulled my car off to the side of the road to talk to him that I noticed how many other people are also fascinated with him. In this short video you can hear a car honking at him. They honk all day long because they love him! These two guys are very friendly and keep people entertained the entire time they are waiting at a red light.

We’ve all seen the other bored-out-of-their-mind sign holders who make us feel like we would never want to buy a sandwich from them or get a car wash. The sandwich would be soggy and the carwash would be crappy. These guys have loads of energy and make me feel pretty good about State Farm. It doesn’t even matter that I can’t read the signs! Be sure to honk and say “Hello” to them as you drive by next time.

Gramatically it is “El Camino”, but for some of us locals it’s fine to say “the El Camino”.

It’s just “El Camino” not “the El Camino”. You got it right the second time but not the first time.
