It seems like a nice idea to have a list of annual events that happen in our city. It would come in handy when we plan our vacations and when visitors stop by for a few days. Everyone jump up and down and scream “Art & Wine Festival!” Yippee! It only comes once a year, but we think about it all year long and you should too. This festival is put on by the Chamber of Commerce

Mountain View (that’s us!) and is the biggest art festival in the whole wide world, attracting over 200,000 people. It’s true; we counted*. It takes hundreds of happy, good-looking, charming, energetic volunteers to get it all done and that’s where you and all of your friends and family come in! We couldn’t do it without you and we totally love you for helping us. So mark your calendar (Sept 12 and 13, 2009) and fill out the “volunteer form” and be sure to tell us what size t-shirt you wear. A few days after the festival, you and your friends get to go to the Volunteer Appreciation Party. It’s kind of fun because it’s clothing optional. Just kidding! We all wear our Art & Wine t-shirts again and celebrate another successful festival. We just love closing down the streets and having the biggest party in town!
