The Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers for the 47th Art & Wine Festival on September 8th and 9th. This year they’re asking people to volunteer in groups of four, if at all possible.
The festival is immense and it takes hundreds of man-hours to set it up. The crew works all night long. Then all the artists arrive and set up their booths. Then another couple hundred volunteers show up to pour beer and wine. That’s where you and your friends come in.
They need fun, enthusiastic volunteers, who are at least 14 years old. In order to pour alcohol, volunteers need to be 21 years old. High school kids can work in the ticket and glass booths.
The Chamber wants everyone to be able to work a 4 1/2 hour shift. When you register via Eventbrite, you can pick the day and time that your group wants. The festival is Saturday and Sunday, September 8th & 9th, 2018.
Besides a beautiful, fun-filled day of people watching and pouring wine, each volunteer will receive a free 47th Annual Art & Wine Festival T-shirt and an exclusive invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party sponsored by LiveNation at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
The Appreciation Party is so much fun that it’s the reason that some people volunteer. True story. They take over Lucky’s Bar inside Shoreline Amphitheatre, bring in a DJ, lots of food and drinks, and about 35 raffle prizes. Stay tuned for the date.
Each festival booth will have four or five volunteers. If you and your friends or family are up for the adventure, please register here.
Single volunteers are also welcome. Please bring ID to show that you are old enough to pour alcohol.

Your group can use the weekend to promote your organization (for free) if your company is a Chamber member and if you agree to man the booth for the entire weekend. You can hang a banner, and put out flyers, and wear your hats with your company logo, in addition to wearing the volunteer t-shirts that the Chamber provides for the festival weekend.
